Launching international: The Museum from Home | VIVIDLY + INVI

Museum From Home - An initiative to support Art and Cultural organizations with 3D and immersive virtual exhibitions.

As we continue to break boundaries and challenge our current technology, we would like to redefine museum experience.  This is an initiative to support museums and galleries with 3D and immersive digital solutions.

At a time when an emergency has been announced in the world due to a global pandemic and cultural institutions have been forcibly closed, we understand that the winners are those who can adapt and adopt solutions that help them enhance their connectivity with their audience remotely and globally. The immersive tech company, Vividly and INVI, started The Museum From Home initiative to support Art and Cultural organizations at a time when they are not available to visitors.

We would like to present a virtual environment that allows unique interactions with viewing and presenting art. We emphasize the importance of how virtual environments can help the audience visualize exhibits in a way that is not possible in a physical space. Our digital infrastructure allows virtual museums to have global accessibility from almost anywhere in the world at any time. This is a model that strengthens our connectivity to the world while maximizing the spread of information and knowledge.

The world opens many opportunities during these turbulent times. These are times when museums can challenge their physical limitations and become more accessible through digitalization and virtual connections.

“This is an opportunity to elevate relationships with their audience and go beyond their physical boundaries.”

To support museums and other organizations at the time they are not available to visitors, the immersive tech company “Vividly”(Riga, LV) and “INVI“ (Texas, US) started the initiative Museum from Home with the first project in Latvia by digitizing part of the Skuja Braden personal exhibition “Samsara” at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, Latvia and making it available to everyone on the Internet.

On the other side of the world, a first-of-its-kind Virtual Museum was launched in Texas, USA to commemorate George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter Movement. It received an outpouring of artistic submissions from 6 countries (United States, Colombia, Bangladesh, France, India, and Wales). The museum has received over 10,000 visitors, further proving the power of our digital infrastructure.

The Museum from Home is an ongoing initiative and we are currently looking for Art and Cultural organizations to expand the initiative.
