"Museum From Home" featured as INITIATIVE OF THE WEEK by the Michelangelo Foundation

During the time of temporary museum closure, Vividly created initiative called “Museum From Home” to help museums stay accessible online for people all over the world. This initiative has been recognized by internationally meaningful organisation that celebrates excellence in art - the Michelangelo Foundation.

The Michelangelo Foundation helps people rediscover the ability of the human hand to create and support those doing it best: the exceptional contemporary European master artisans using long-held traditions, skills and knowledge to make beautiful objects of lasting value. The Foundation is named after a beacon in this field, Michelangelo, a visionary artist and master artisan who embodied both creativity and craftsmanship at the very highest level of excellence.

Our initiative “Museum From Home” is featured in the web page and social media of the Michelangelo Foundation.

“Museum From Home” is not only making art accessible remotely. The technology allows you to experience Skuja Braden exhibition in 3D, with the possibility to zoom in on a selection of porcelain pieces, and to examine every angle and the details. Five sculptures of Ilga’s Altar are digitized and showcased through Vividly by using photogrammetry for 3D spatial modelling. The initiative enables the museum to give the public a preview of the exhibition, whilst their doors still remain closed to visitors.
