I used to be such a TED addict, but nowadays almost all good conferences are out there - online. I believe they are a great source of inspiration for everyone and so accessible! I would say - this is the time! So I made a list of the best ones talking about architecture, innovation, and technology. Disclaimer - indeed a few are related to 3D, rendering technologies and breaktrough of immersive media applications, however, also Bjerke with his always fresh insights from architecture practise evolution and a litle bit of gamification in urban planning by UN Habitat.

2. The dawn of the virtual reality in architecture // Gunita Kulikovska
Long-standing but still one of the top talks online about basic principles: How VR can be the common language between architects and clients. VR has developed a lot and construction is experiencing steady digitalization. Developers are looking for more than just a flat image.
It is important to make a synergy between humans, architecture, and technologies. This synergy needs to be easy enough for both parties in order to use it.
3. Vision 2017 - Architects and the Future of AR Design // Alan Robles - Gensler
Future of the architect profession and their toolbox. Alan explains how Augmented Reality(AR) can be a tool for more productive working. Improving immersive media workflows is probably a key to use this platform for the daily design process.
4. Minecraft in Urban Planning // Pontus Westerberg
Who would think that games will play such a huge role in making spatial planning accessible to remote areas as well as involving youth? In 2012, UN-Habitat, the United Nations program for sustainable towns and cities, and Mojang, the makers of Minecraft, entered into an innovative partnership, named Block by Block. Pontus from UN-Habitat will explain the process and benefits, with examples from Kenya, Nepal, Sweden and Haiti.
5. Genius Loci in VR: Building presence in VR // Carl Callewaert
Carl Callewaert in an entertaining way explains how VR can be viewed with one eye and how one can make the virtual environment more appealing by speculating with the perception of a human eye. You might discover unique tricks.
